Car Insurance Daewoo (Car Insurance). How much would a tune up cost for my car?How much would a tune up cost for my car? I drive a 97 Camaro Base. It has 168k miles, and runs decent, but at times everytime I give it a good push on the pedal it chokes out and won't pick up the speed its supposed too. I changed out the 4 of the 6 spark plugs but I couldn't reach the other two which is under the motor, which probably would make a difference. I also figured maybe it's the fuel pump or the engine itself hince the mileage. I do only the basic (Oil change, fuel injecter cleaner, octane booster, etc). I don't plan on getting rid of it soon, I just wanted part's replaced so it will last longer rather than driving until it falls apart. Any ideas on possible tune up cost would be great. I do live in a area with low cost of living as well (Arkansas). pretty much depends on how much parts are where you are. Auto parts : Lug Wrench Acura 1995 . Lunette Eye Alfa Romeo 1996 . I am 17, and unfortunately done have the restrictions off of my license yet, which means I am not allowed to drive anyone. I rear - ended someone last weekend, with someone else in the car. I haven't made my claim to the insurance company yet, but I'm pretty sure it makes the situation worse for me if i was driving someone when i wasn't supposed to. I could easily just leave that part out of the story, but the other driver could say something, then i would be lying. Also, earlier this year i got a ticket for driving another person, which i haven't completed traffic school yet, so what i'm worried about is that the points are going to rack up before i get the chance to do traffic school and then i will get my lisence taken away til i'm 18. Daewoo . Front Brake Rotor Removal on a 1989 F-150 4X4The front brake rotors on a 1989 Ford F-150 4X4 are part of the braking system of the vehicle. When the caliper compresses the brake pads onto the brake rotor, both the pads and rotor sustain wear. When the pads wear down and need to be replaced, the brake rotor should also be removed and inspected. Once you have inspected the rotor, you can decide whether you should have it resurfaced by a professional or replaced entirely. But first you have to remove the rotor, which is a fairly straightforward job. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Jack Jack stands Tire iron 3 feet of rope Hammer Pointed chisel Step by Step : 1 Raise the front of the F-150 with the jack. Position jack stands under the frame and lower the jack so the weight of the truck is supported by the stands. Unbolt the lug nuts on the wheels with the tire iron. Remove the wheels. 2 Locate the brake caliper, which goes around the brake rotor. Find the pin between the caliper bracket and the caliper. Tap the pin out from between the bracket and the caliper with the chisel and hammer. 3 Lift the caliper out and away from the rotor and hang it from the spring using the rope. Slide the rotor off the hub. Repeat the process for the rotor on the other front wheel.
Daewoo . Ford F-150 Rear Brake Rotor Removal InstructionsRemoving a rear brake rotor on a Ford F-150 is almost the same process as for the front brakes, with the primary difference being where the caliper is located on the wheel. Removing the rotor is an easy process and will take even an inexperienced person only about a half hour to get it done. If you find that your rotor has been worn too thin, or is severely damaged because of the brake pads cutting grooves into them, then they will need to be replaced. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Automobile jack Lug wrench Wheel chocks Wire ties Jack stand Metric socket set Step by Step : 1 Park the truck on a level surface and place the wheel chocks in front of the front wheels. 2 Jack the truck up on the side that you are going to be working on and place a jack stand under the frame near the jacking point. Raise it as close as you can to the frame. 3 Remove the wheel using the lug wrench. 4 Remove the brake caliper by removing the guide pins, using the proper size wrench. 5 Secure the caliper to the frame of the truck, using wire ties. 6 Remove the rotor by pulling it off the lug nuts. If it is difficult to move, hit it on the side with the rubber mallet until it releases from the lugs. Tips & Warnings Wearing safety glasses will prevent injury to your eyes from loose debris and dirt. Don't allow calipers to hang or the brake lines will be stretched and are likely to crack. *^ '* doesn't, or you have no manual, amble on over to your dealership's parts department and ask to see a copy of the service manual. A quick look at the proper sections in the manual should tell you whether you can do the job yourself. If you're not sure, ask someone in the service area to show you where the oil, air, and fuel filters are located and what's involved in changing or servicing them. Most mechanics are pretty nice about that kind of thing. If the job really is easy, they won't make enough on it to make lying to you worthwhile; if the job isn't so easy, you'll be happy to have them do it for you. Changing the lubricating oil Because diesel fuel is sometimes called diesel oil, be aware that the oil you have to change is not the fuel oil, but the oil that lubricates the engine. This job requires lubricating oil that's specially designed for diesel engines, rather than the lubricating oil designed for gasoline-powered vehicles. After you understand that distinction, the actual work involved is the same as it is for conventional vehicles — except that you have to do the task more often. Be sure to check your oil dipstick at least once a week (following the instructions in Chapter 3) and change the oil filter every time you change the oil (see Chapter 15 for additional instructions). Don't be surprised if you change the lubricating oil in your diesel, run the engine for two minutes, and check the dipstick only to find that the new oil has turned pitch black; this is normal. Your owner's manual tells you what kind of oil to use and the maximum intervals you can wait between changes, but I believe that the more often you change the oil on any vehicle, the longer the vehicle will live and the healthier it will be. That goes double for diesels because extreme heat and pressure help to contaminate the lubricating oil more quickly. Because the procedure is the same, all the instructions for changing oil and oil filters in Chapter 15 are relevant, except for the oil classification codes. (The classification codes for automotive oils tell you which oil to use under a specific set of conditions.) These are the codes for diesel lubrication oils: 0 CA: For use with low-sulfur, high-quality fuels only CB: For use with high-sulfur, low-quality fuels on vehicles subjected to low to medium stress * CC: Protects against rust, corrosion, and high temperatures under 357

CC is the lubricating oil currently designated for most popular diesels, but check your owner's manual to be sure. The manual also specifies a viscosity grade in the form of a number preceded by the initials SAE. This grade refers to the "weight" of the oil and the temperature conditions under which it will flow. Diesel lubricating oil comes in the same range of weights as oil for conventional vehicles, and you can find all the necessary information in the section "Knowing Which Kind of Oil to Buy" in Chapter 15. Changing the air fitter The air filter setup on most diesels is the same as it is for gasoline-powered vehicles, with the filter located inside the air cleaner under the hood of the car. You can find directions for reaching the air filter in the "Changing your air filter" section in Chapter 13. You have to take one big precaution when you change the air filter on a diesel: Always shut off the engine of a diesel before you try to change the air filter. Diesel engines produce exceedingly powerful suction, and the air intake goes directly to the engine. Because almost anything can fly or drop into it — from nuts and bolts to your favorite hairpiece — you risk serious damage to the engine if you open the air cleaner with the engine running. Changing the fuel fitters Most diesels have two fuel filters — a "primary" filter located between the fuel tank and the engine — which cleans the fuel before it gets to the fuel transfer pump — and a "secondary" filter up near the engine — which gives the fuel a final cleaning before it gets to the fuel injectors. Both are usually easy to change, and your owner's manual should show you how to do this job. On some diesels, the job is much like changing the oil filter on a conventional vehicle: You unscrew the old one, moisten the gasket of the new one with fuel, and screw it into place. Others have filters with replaceable cartridges; you just remove the old one and pop in the new one. Daewoo . What does it mean when a car is not excelloration?
Honda Pilot. * There's one catch to changing the fuel filter, however. The next section has the details. Bleeding and priming the fuel system Whenever you change the fuel filter or run out of fuel in a diesel, you must bleed the air bubbles out of the fuel system and then prime it to get a new supply of fuel circulating. Because cranking the engine does the job but also wears down the battery, most diesels include a manual primer pump and an air-bleed screw for this purpose. On many vehicles, you simply pump the primer's handle to get the fuel moving and then turn the air-bleed screw until a hissing noise tells you that the air is escaping. Just keep pumping until all the air leaves and the noise ceases; then tighten the air-bleed screw and replace the pump handle. . Chapter 7: Diesels and Alternatively Powered Vehicles 1 A C Because bleeding and priming the fuel system is something that may occur fairly often, I suggest that you check the equipment and procedure for any model you're interested in purchasing to be sure that you can do this job quickly and easily. Water separators Because diesel fuel can easily become contaminated by water, many diesel Daewoo . Is everything you can download with i tunes free?

If your vehicle doesn't have one, I strongly sug gest that you have one installed. This part shouldn't be terribly expensive, and it can save you a bunch of money on repairs. You can usually drain both integral and optional water separators by turning a little drain valve called apetcock and emptying the water from the collection chamber of the separator. *ts a S°°d idea to check the water separator weekly at first to see how fast it fills up under normal conditions when you're driving on fuel from your usual source. If the fuel contains a lot of water, you may want to consider buying it elsewhere. Getting started on a frosty morning Metal cylinder walls become very cold whenever the temperature drops, so most cars are harder to start in cold weather.
